My friend is going on holiday to America in July and is worried he won’t be allowed in. He is not sure if he actually has a criminal record or not but he did get a fine of around £500 for something. He read somewhere that you aren’t allowed into America if you have a crim record, does anyone know if this is true and how he finds out if he has one?

If a UK national has a criminal record for a drink driving offence where he/she was banned for driving for a year but not sent to prison does this mean he/she can never get a green card to work in the US as spouse of a wife/husband on a working visa?

How strict are they? Is it people who have done prison time who will not be allowed in? Or does anyone with any kind of criminal record have no chance of being accepted?

Nope I’m not talking about myself. My sister was arrested for fraud and was let off with the caution. She then did something else and did community service.

She is 22 and lives with my mum. She told me a couple of weeks ago she wants to get her own flat. She gets job seekers allowance because she doesn’t have a job so she is going to apply for a council flat.

Because she’s got a criminal record, does that mean she’s going to find it harder to get a flat?

I am trying to find my criminal record but I have no where to look. People have told me that I shouldn’t get it online because it could be wrong. Also do a criminal record and a background check have the same information? Which record should I look for to find if there are any sort of child abuse or neglect? I have never abused a child, I am looking at possible babysitters.

I know there are so many people out there who have a criminal record and don’t admit it. I want to be able to check on someone before I date them or associate with them.

I mean, if a youth commits a crime, goes through rehabilitation, and get off without a criminal record, what are three/four reasons this is good? I’ve got, 1: it opens them to more jobs, and traveling, 2: It doesn’t follow them for the rest of their lives making them feel guilty.
But I need a few more
Thank you for your help!

I am currently attending Sanford Brown in Texas but I recently found out that my criminal background could keep me from continuing onto the ultrasound Program. So instead of capping myself off I would like to follow my other passion but I am curious if my criminal record will handicap me from becoming a kinder garden teacher? I am not sure if my minor record is sealed but I do have a DWI and a few more alcohol related charges, can I still become a teacher?

S asked:

Can i still become an airline or cargo pilot with this criminal record?
i made a threat in HS when i was 18 to shoot up the school. it was really immature of me and i regret doing it. misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
