Different counties post things different ways, generally depending on budget. MANY counties and states don’t allow public access to records without a fee. In your area - check out the source area below.
First of, what you are saying is confusing. You cannot be convicted of anything if you were not charged to start with.
Maybe what you mean to say is that you were charged with something, but it was supposed to be dismissed or you received a diversion and you want to make sure it was not on your record. Sometimes it is necessary to file a document known as an expungement to have something removed from your record.
Here is my advice:
#1 Call the Bonneville Co. Clerks Office. Tell them what you are trying to find out, ask if they can check while on the phone with you, if they have a website you can access (not all jurisdictions have this option) or if they have public terminals there where you can find this out.
#2 Ask them for a contact number for Idaho Bureau of Investigation for the public records division. Although the clerks office may not have anything on you, IBI records may show something.
If you wind up having something on your record, call the attorney who represented you originally, the probation officer if you had one, or ask someone at the clerk’s office to give you the proper form to fill out for an expungement. There is usually a fee associated with this.
