One has to visit the courthouse to view records before the electronic period began.
Did you try the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access page? I cannot tell you for sure if they date back this far, if he is still alive they very well might. I have seen some go back pretty far though. Another thing you can do is try to contact the county he lived in. They might have all the records you are looking for.
