Online search: Type in the county you live in or want records for and county recorder. Public records or documents. Depends on the county, you may only be able to get records of liens and judegements or you can get criminal and civil court info.

Or you can go to the courthouse. Depends on the county. Some are completely free and some are free to search but have to pay to get physical copy. Also juvenile court or family court may not release info.

Let me know if I can help with the lonline serach just need to know your county and what type of court records your looking for

Here is a site I found:

No, I am sure that you are not allowed to record a court trial. If you ever see news reports of court trials, you will notice that they never show anything more than drawings of court processes. Court trials are recorded by paid typists, so you can always check out those documents as a record of the trial. You cannot personally record your trial, however. If we were to open "voice recording" or "video recording" to the public, this would eventually involve media-recorded proceedings which would be considered by some to be unethical and a violation to the rights of the defendant or accused parties. This could provide an opportunity for someone's reputation to be destroyed no matter what the ruling is.

You can only record a court trial if you first get permission from the judge. Otherwise, the marshalls won't allow you in the court. If you attempt to record and are caught, you will be charged with a misdemeanor.

Might not find a free place online, but I think courts keep public records that are available to the public. Call and check.

Generally, cameras and recording devices are not allowed in a court room unless the court approves.

However, there is a court reporter in every trial who transcribes, word-for-word, everything that gets said. Every "umm, errr, ahem, etc.." gets in there. So you can always get a record of what someone said during trial.

Same way as most anywhere else. Go to the courhouse and tell the clerk what you want to see. There will typically be a coin-operated copier handy, so you can copy anything you need.

I agree with Taylor. There's no way to give an informed answer here anyway, there's no information being given. 4 cases of what? What were the charges? Why are they not dismissed? Did he just not show up for court? Is he a fugitive on these cases? Has he not been convicted because he didn't show up?

Oklahoma has them all online to search through for free. Call your local courthouse to see if they have something similar. It is much easier than looking through files.

It depends what kind of case it was originally. On more serious cases that are in the superior court (general jurisdiction), they will keep the record forever. In the lower court (limited jurisdiction), the records are not kept forever. Many have retention timeframe where the records are disposed of. Check with the local court that the case originated from.

It depends on what state you are in. Try editing your question with the state that you are wanting the court records in. For example, here in Oklahoma, you can go to and look up court records for free. Again edit your question with your state.
